Deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and was attached to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force- Arabian Peninsula.
I was appointed as the Operations Security (OPSEC) and Force Protection officer shortly after my arrival. As the Force Protection Officer, I was responsible for organizing, equipping, training, and leading a private security force made up of 150 Indigenous Iraqis. I conducted numerous force protection rehearsals with meaningful After Action Reviews. I wrote Several OPSEC and Force Protection standing operating procedures providing the basis for all Force Protection policies. I maintained all current updates to Force Protection on the website. This included developing a robust OPSEC program, and conducting several OPSEC inspections. During my time as the OPSEC officer, I identified and facilitated the investigation of all OPSEC violations.

Supervised and integrates training and employment of non-US and inter-service forces in both training and combat. I was responsible for advising or leading indigenous military units of battalion-size in combat and military operations other than war. I deployed to Africa twice and the Middle East twice during this time, in which I trained over 200 soldiers on 2 separate continents in 2 different languages.
